Timecoding – sometimes called timestamping – is the addition of precise time references within a transcribed document. It clearly indicates when spoken text or audio events occur in the original media file (e.g. 00:01:45). Crucially, timecodes enable rapid verification, and efficient navigation to specific moments in the source media and break the transcript down into timed segments.

The frequency and size of the segments is completely adjustable to your requirements.

You might want to have your transcript timecoded to allow easy reference to specific time-indexes within the transcribed document. If timecoding is not required, our default stance is to segment transcripts in line with when a speaker starts and stops speaking – this may be more than sufficient for your intended purposes..

Absolutely. We specialise in providing translated transcripts. For example, if your media file is in Spanish, but you require the final transcript entirely in English, we will expertly handle both the transcription and translation processes to deliver the complete English text. If required, we can also provide the original language transcript upon request.

For crucial documentation, our translated transcripts can be certified. This certification makes them suitable for most legal purposes in the UK, including submission to courts and the Home Office, ensuring they meet official requirements. Our Certified Transcripts come with all the same hallmarks of accuracy as our Certified Translations.

Costs are typically calculated on a per audio minute basis, but the final price depends on several factors.

We do not currently use any AI Transcription – all transcription is completed by qualified, human linguists to ensure the highest accuracy.

Yes, we can transcribe files which feature more than one language. 

Ideally, we will place the work with a transcriber who has command of all the languages required, but where this isn’t possible, we will bring in as many expert linguists as required to cover all the languages in play.
