Dutch / Nederlands
Dutch is a West Germanic language, spoken by approximately 23 million speakers, mainly located in the Netherlands and Belgium. There are smaller Dutch-speaking communities in France, Germany, Aruba, Dutch Antilles, Suriname and Indonesia.
As a West Germanic language, Dutch is highly similar to English and German. It shares a similar grammatical word order, grammatical gender and and similar vocabulary with German. However, Dutch – like English – did not undergo the High German consonant shift and has abandoned the case system.
Our specialist Dutch linguists work closely with our clients to deliver an exceptional translation or interpretation service. Whether you are launching a product overseas or hosting international negotiations, Global Language Services is the right choice for your business.
